Praslin has 11 catalogued beaches. Seychelles' second-largest island, with granite-framed beaches beside the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site home to the coco de mer palm.
High season runs from July to mid-September. Outside it prices fall 30 to 50 per cent and most access points, restaurants and local transport keep running.
