Mahé has 19 catalogued beaches. Seychelles' largest island, home to the capital Victoria, the international airport and the archipelago's widest mix of beaches, from surf bays to resort shores.
High season runs from July to mid-September. Outside it prices fall 30 to 50 per cent and most access points, restaurants and local transport keep running.
