InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort sits on Matira Point, at the southern tip of Bora Bora's main island in French Polynesia — a rare position among the island's big-name resorts, most of which occupy private motu (coral islets) reachable only by boat. Vaitape, Bora Bora's main village and a well-known spot for Tahitian black pearls, is about 20 minutes away by boat or road, and Mount Otemanu offers hiking trails with views over the whole lagoon.
