InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa

5-star beachfront resort · right by Natadola Beach, 266 rooms and suites Updated June 2026

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa sits at the southern end of Natadola Beach, in the Coral Coast region of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island. It opened on 1 June 2009, when IHG described it as the sole destination resort on this stretch of natural white sand — a beach Forbes had named one of the world's 25 best beaches back in 2008. The original 216 rooms and suites, each at least 65m², are spread across 35 acres of tropical gardens laid out in a pattern echoing a traditional Fijian village.

Today the resort's accommodation spans several categories, including Lagoon View Suites overlooking the sheltered Navo Lagoon and uninhabited Navo Island, and Beachfront Suites with direct ocean views from the balcony, living room and bedroom. Since September 2009 there has also been a Club InterContinental wing of 55 hilltop villas — many with private plunge pools or spa baths — with its own private pool and lounge.

Dining is split across four distinct venues: Navo, the resort's specialty fine-dining restaurant overlooking the lagoon and Navo Island; Sanasana, set beside the old Sugar Cane Train track, serving buffet breakfast and themed dinners; the casual, poolside Toba Bar & Grill, known for stone-baked pizza, pasta and poke bowls; and Kama Lounge, a sunset bar looking straight out over the beach.

Beyond the beach itself, guests have access to four swimming pools — including an adults-only infinity pool and a 105-metre family activity pool — an on-site dive centre, watersports and snorkelling gear, beach volleyball, a pétanque lawn, a yoga deck, and the Meke lawn used for Fijian cultural performances. The resort also has a full gym and fitness centre, plus on-site shopping and a tour-booking desk for guests planning excursions further along the Coral Coast.

The Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, a par-72 layout of roughly 7,000 yards, opened alongside the resort in 2009 and was, at the time, Fiji's first internationally competition-standard course, with 15 of its 18 holes running along the coast. The resort's own spa was named Fiji's Best Resort Spa at the 2022 World Spa Awards, and offers Eastern and Western treatments using local herbs and honey, including private beachside cabana massages through its Tranquil Cabana Escapes programme.

Families are catered for by Planet Trekkers, the resort's kids' club, split into two age groups (four to seven, and eight to 12). On the events side, a conference centre seating up to 600 delegates and the Watercourt meeting precinct have helped the resort collect the World MICE Awards' "Fiji's Best MICE Hotel" title in several years, including 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025. It's also a popular destination-wedding venue, with named packages such as Vau Vata, Yalayala and Natadola.

Nadi International Airport is roughly 55 minutes away by road, reachable by private transfer, shared shuttle or helicopter. At times of high occupancy, day visitors who aren't staying at the resort may need to buy a "Natadola Daycation" pass to access the grounds. Across the wider Coral Coast region, this remains the only hotel currently documented in this database, underscoring its role as the area's main resort landmark.
