Pernambuco Coast has 42 catalogued beaches. Reef-formed natural pools, warm water and a string of beaches between Recife and Tamandaré.
High season runs from July to mid-September. Outside it prices fall 30 to 50 per cent and most access points, restaurants and local transport keep running.
