Bahia Coast has 40 catalogued beaches. Colour-streaked cliffs, tide pools and 1,100 km of Afro-Brazilian coast.
High season runs from July to mid-September. Outside it prices fall 30 to 50 per cent and most access points, restaurants and local transport keep running.
